Amber Night | 2023 HerPower Annual Gala and Outstanding Elite Awards Ceremony
The Amber-sponsored 2023 HerPower Annual Gala not only celebrated the second anniversary of the “HerPower Global Lady Club” but also recognized and encouraged outstanding achievements by women in various fields. The event delved into the awakening and practice of women’s leadership, attracting enthusiastic participation from guests across various sectors and numerous accomplished women.
Simultaneously, the organizers, the “HerPower Global Lady Club,” successfully raised $18,600 for the YWCA Single Mothers Support Program during the conference. This achievement surpassed the fundraising goal of donating $50,000 CAD to YWCA within three years, showcasing the powerful impact of unity and compassion.
The conference began with captivating speeches and addresses. First, Ms. Cindy Liu, Executive President and Co-founder of the HerPower Global Lady Club, and Vice President of Amber Financial, took the stage to deliver a speech.
Ms. Cindy Liu stated: “HerPower Global Lady Club” was founded in 2021 by a group of female entrepreneurs with ideals, career pursuits, and a sense of social responsibility. Since its inception, the club has organized and supported more than 40 charitable events, aiming to empower and encourage women.
Following this, ProfessorFang Wan, a lifelong professor in the Marketing Department of the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba in Canada, representing the new era of female elites, delivered a compelling speech. The keynote address, “Becoming: Awakening and Practice of Women’s Leadership,” explored the new awakening and strength of women in leadership. ProfessorFang Wan’s speech inspired every listener, calling on women to discover their potential, lead courageously, and create change.
After the inspiring keynote address, the “2023 HerPower Annual Gala” dinner took center stage. Co-directed by Anna Huang, Co-founder of HerPower and Director of North American Children’s Arts, along with hosts Ding Muyan, Mark, and Kitty Yao, the event celebrated the achievements and future prospects of HerPower.
Ms. Cindy Liu, representing the organizers HerPower, expressed gratitude for the support of government officials, sponsors, and guests, emphasizing the gathering of dynamic women at the 2023 HerPower Annual Gala. She highlighted the resilience and dreams of these women, who are dedicated to community development and charitable activities. Cindy also shared her own growth journey, from being a mother accompanying her child in school to becoming a workplace professional, actively supporting local charities upon her return to the workforce.
Lina Bing, Chief Financial Officer of Amber Financial, the title sponsor, expressed that as one of the co-founding units of HerPower, Amber Financial aims to benefit more female friends and inject continuous warmth into the community. Amber Financial, rooted in Canada and devoted to the mortgage industry, actively creates value for customers, investors, employees, and the community, embodying both an essential part of the Canadian economy and a practitioner of charitable practices.
Anna Huang, Chairwoman of HerPower and Founder of Starry Sky Immigration and Education, presented the “2023 HerPower Annual Report and Future Outlook.” Looking back on the past two years, HerPower witnessed outstanding achievements by numerous women in various fields, organized or supported over 40 charitable events, supported the employment of 141 women, and steadfastly hosted the “HerPower Book Club” every month.
In 2023, the official website of HerPower [https://herpower.ca/] was officially launched, and the HerPower Toronto branch was established, marking a journey filled with positive energy and social impact. Members of HerPower felt inspired and proud, looking forward to more members joining and seeking warmth together.
